Logging In for the First Time
- See How to Log In to myON to log in.
- The Interest Inventory will open automatically. Choose your level of interest for each category. Circles to the left show less interest; circles to the right show more interest.
- Select Save to save your choices.
Books in the student recommended library are based on the level of interest in the eleven categories and the student's ATOS ZPD if it is available.
Interests can always be changed. Simply select your name in the top right corner, then choose Interests.
Exploring Your Library
To look for books, select Library at the top of the page.
You will see four options under Library: Recommended, Browse, Favourites and Search.

Recommended: Books on this tab are based on your ZPD, interests and year. In the last section of the page, you can use the drop-down list to choose a category that you are interested in.

Browse: After you choose browse, you can select a category and subcategory that you are interested in to find books. You can also use filters to choose whether to see fiction books, non-fiction books or graphic novels.
- Favourites & Bundles: This option shows the books that you have added to your list.
- Search: Use this option to search for books by keywords (by title, series, author, publisher and/or description), by fiction/non-fiction, by level (ATOS, Lexile or Guided Reading), by year, by language or by book type. For more information, see Using Filters When Searching.
Reading a Book
To start reading a book, select it; then, select Open.
If you open the book's information, you can also select the read button in that window.
Select Open.
To go from one page to the next, use the arrows. To zoom in on the page, double-click.
You will see tools and more information at the bottom of the page and on the side. These tools allow you to close the book, change how you are viewing the book, play or pause audio, mute audio, control the highlighting of words and sentences while audio is played, use the dictionary and control how fast audio is played.
